Photo & Copyright Consent

As a part of Team 4469 and signing the student contract at the end of this handbook, you are agreeing to be photographed and recorded at any robotics related event. These photos and videos will be used in various mediums such as social media content, website content, or promotional brochures. Team 4469 will not profit off of any image or video of any student.

If any student does not wish to be photographed at a Team 4469 meeting or event, please speak to the faculty advisor or Business Team mentor to sign an opt-out form. At any official FIRST event, Team 4469 has no control over who is photographed or recorded.

In order to protect the team, the following copyright section must be included.

As a student, guardian, or mentor of Team 4469, any and all Works of Authorship that you produce may be used by the team for the remainder of its existence. Works of Authorship includes, but is not limited to:

- Robot code or programs
- CAD Designs
- Visual media
- Awards scripts
- Written content

All content created for Team 4469 is royalty free, perpetually, non-exclusive, and irrevocably licensed. As a part of Team 4469, it is expected that you contribute fully to the team, not withholding any content in self-interest.

This section states that any work of authorship (content) created for Team 4469 is yours and the Team’s property. By contributing to the Team, you are agreeing to allow the team to use any content for the remainder of its existence. A team member cannot return to the team and demand to be paid or make the team stop using their content. Likewise, the Team cannot demand that a team member not use their original content for personal use in the future.
