Rules

The following are safety rules for Team 4469. These rules are applicable while in the Build Room and while at competition.

1. Team members will act in a safe manner AT ALL TIMES.

2. Team members will be respectful of the Safety Captain and adhere to any reasonable requests made by the Safety Captain and team mentors.

3. All students will take responsibility for their safety and for those around them.

4. No student will use any power tools unless a mentor is present, and the student has been properly trained on the tool.

5. Safety glasses must be worn at all times while in the build room or competition pits.

6. Closed toed shoes must be worn AT ALL TIMES while in the build room or competition pits.

7. Long hair, scarves, loose jewelry, headphones, and loose-fitting clothing is not allowed in the build room or competition pits AT ANY TIME.

8. Hearing protection may be required in the build room or competition pits.

9. Headphones/earbuds worn for the purpose of playing music are not allowed in the build room.

10. Horseplay WILL NOT be tolerated at any time.

11. Do not lift more than 50 pounds without the help of another student or mentor.

12. Work spaces must be cleaned up at the end of the day. Clean up after yourself.
